In the southeastern Aegean Sea on Sunday, dozens of migrants died after their boat capsized, killing four of them, including three children. The Greek coast guard reported that the incident occurred in the vicinity of Leros island.
At least 39 migrants were rescued by the coast guard after they were reported to have set sail from Turkey, according to their accounts. Among those rescued were the body of a woman and at least 39 migrants who were injured. According to the coast guard, the children died after being hospitalized. Researchers were currently unable to determine the nationalities of the migrants.
